Getting Started in Federation Festival
It can be a little overwhelming trying to figure out how to get started in Federation Festival, but we're here to help you figure it out. Here's what you need to do to get started:

Join a Senior Club
Joining a senior club is how you become a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs. You can see a list of all of the senior clubs and what each one offers members on the Become a Member page. Your senior club will help connect you to your local festival chair who can provide the deadlines for registration. Deadlines are typically November or December of the year prior to festival.
Pay Junior Dues
To participate in Federation Festival and other Federation programs, students need to become members of the Federation by paying Junior Dues. Teachers collect dues from each student who will participate in next year's festival, and then make a single payment via the online shop. Dues must be paid by October 1st of the year prior to Federation Festival.

Purchase a Bulletin
The Federation Festivals Bulletin is a publication of NFMC. It is refreshed every 4 years. It contains all of the rules and repertoire lists you'll need to enter your students in Festival. Bulletins can be obtained from the national office by calling (317) 882-4003. Federation Membership is required before a bulletin can be purchased.
Reach out to your Festival Chair
Your local festival chair is your primary contact for learning about deadlines, repertoire, procedures, and general questions regarding Federation festival. You can find a list of all of the festivals in our state, and the festival chairs here.
