WFMC 2023 State Festival Scholarship Sponsorship Appeal
Dear members of WFMC:

As preparations begin for our 8th WFMC State Festival, we are in need of scholarship sponsorship. This is an opportunity to support our young musicians who will be working extremely hard this year.

It would be appreciated if you would share this at your club meetings and if your (club) President has changed hands, please forward to the new President. As always Robyn and I appreciate all you do to help us in creating a successful event.

Please know any amount is appreciated and is tax-deductible. Checks should be made payable to the WFMC (State Festival Competition 2023.)
Donations can be mailed to:
Lisa Mihas Piano Studio at 300 Cottonwood Ave., Ste 1, Hartland, WI 53029

Thank you! If you have any questions, please reach out to the WFMC State Festival Competition Co-Chairs,
Lisa Mihas at: pianopantsmihas@yahoo.com or Robyn Doege-Brennan at: brennansmusicstudio@gmail.com.
2022 WFMC State Festival Competition was a Success!
Thanks to you!
WFMC State Festival Competition was Saturday, May 21, 2022.

The competition was held at: UWM Peck School of the Arts, 2400 E Kenwood Blvd, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The WFMC is pleased to announce that co-chairs Robyn Doege-Brennan (brennansmusicstudio@gmail.com) and Lisa Mihas (pianopantsmihas@yahoo.com) have accepted the challenge to conduct the state festival.

Not only students, but hundreds of teachers, volunteers, parents, judges, and room monitors, are involved in this day long event. The State Festival Competition was growing (686 entries in 2017, 778 entries in 2018, and 870 entries in 2019) and it is hoped that this spring students return to live performances. Because of the numbers of students participating, please consider volunteering for a day, or part of the day, to help our aspiring music students. It is noted that the co-chairs work around 200 hours each to plan and prepare for the event!

Events in the past have included: Piano, solo, duet, concerto and hymn playing; for Strings, solo, duet, and concerto; in Vocal, art song, musical theater, and duets, for Woodwinds, solo and concerto; and in Guitar, classical guitar, and classical guitar concerto.

New categories are added each year, please consult the 2021 National Federation of Music Clubs Bulletin for the performance lists, and rules. Nationwide Federation Festivals are held on an annual basis. All materials regarding the NFMC Bulletin, Federation Festival, and Cup Programs are copyrighted by the NFMC.

The WFMC sincerely appreciates all of the donations to the state festival competition scholarship fund. All scholarships awarded at the annual State Festival Competition are funded entirely through donations to the scholarship fund, and we appreciate everyone’s support of the outstanding young musicians who receive these awards. Please consider including a tax-deductible donation to the scholarship fund in your giving plan this year. You can help deserving students on State Festival Day in the future.
