Ruth Kreuser Scholarship 2008

Announcing the 2008 Recipient
of the Ruth Kreuser Scholarship

We are delighted to announce that Brandon Walton of Milwaukee is our 2008 Ruth Kreuser Scholarship recipient of $500.

Congratulations also go to his piano teacher Margarita Kontorovsky  (a member of the Milwaukee Music Teachers Association, Inc.).

Thirteen-year-old Brandon began her private piano studies at age four, since then, he has received music honors and recognition from the Wisconsin Federation Jr. Festivals, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Milwaukee Music Teachers Association and more.  Additionally, this seventh grader is actively involved in hobbies and many activities at Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts.

The Ruth Kreuser Scholarship is a WFMC scholarship offering designed specifically for students between ages 12 through 18 years, where circumstance find them ineligible for participation in any other WFMC sponsored scholarship, grant or monetary award during the current school year.

Ruth was a past WFMC president and board member of many years.  She was a strong advocate for music students and teachers through incentives, recognition, advancement and performance.
