Announcing the First Recipient
of the Ruth Kreuser Scholarship
We are delighted to announce that Anne-Marie Giuca of Janesville is our first Ruth Kreuser Scholarship recipient of $500. Kudos to her piano teacher Susan Renkas (a.k.a. president of the MacDowell Music Club of Janesville) and voice teacher Jan Knutson.
Fifteen year old Anne-Marie began her private piano studies at age four, Since then, she has received numerous music honors and recognition. Additionally, she is actively involved in church, school and community while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and ranked 1st in her high school class.
The Ruth Kreuser Scholarship is the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs’ newest scholarship offering. It is designed specifically for students between ages 12 through 18 years, where circumstance find them ineligible for participation in any other WFMC sponsored scholarship, grant or monetary award during the current school year.
We are proud to have established this scholarship in honor Ruth Kreuser. Ruth was a past WFMC president and board member of many years. She was a strong advocate for music students and teachers through incentives, recognition, advancement and performance.
